How to Take a DNA Identification Test

The process of collecting DNA samples from participants for a DNA identification test is completely painless and takes about 4–6 minutes. The most commonly used DNA sample for this genetic test is an oral swab using a cotton swab (buccal epithelial cell collection), often referred to as a «saliva test» (standard DNA sample).
